Between 2002 and 2005 a group of us spent alot of time skiing on Ben Nevis, exploring the various north face gullys. It was a real adventure - especially since in those days there wasn't much information out there about skiing on the Ben, just 2 short pages from an old edition of the SMC climbers guide.
We made this short film 5 years ago - its a collection of video, and still photos (scanned from 35mm!). Apologies, the edit is a little rough, but it brings back some good memories. Funnily enough the old style 200cm straight skis were ideal for the hard snow and steep terrain. Way better than the twitchy super side-cut carvers that were all the rage in those days!
